Over the course of two months in fall 2023, we’re providing digital makers with knowledge and support to build up their career as a digital artist.
The Emerging Digital Maker Program is designed to teach 25 participants about the digital culture ecosystem in the Netherlands and how you can develop your professional art practice within it. During the workshops we dig into building a network, presenting yourself and your work, fair pay, and the storage of digital art. The sessions conclude with studio visits. The program is set-up with experienced mentors and professionals in the field and takes place at Framer Framed in Amsterdam.Â
The sessions are themed as follows:
– Mapping the scene and sharing network
– Writing about yourself and/or your practice
– Presentation training
– Information fair pay practice
– Grant writing workshop
– How to store digital art?
Several participants will present their work at The Hmm @ REBOOT at the Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam on November 15, where we connect the participants with a professional network.

Why are we organising this?
Over the past seven years we have given a stage to more than 500 digital makers and organised cultural events throughout the Netherlands. Through our research and hands-on work in the digital culture field, we’ve accumulated vital knowledge and built a large network, and we are happy to share these resources with up-and-coming talents.
